Wacom Updates Beginner-Friendly Intuos Line of Drawing Tablets [NEWS]

Wacom has just refreshed its beginner-friendly line of drawing tablets, the new Intuos Small and the new Intuos Medium.

The new Wacom Intuos Small and Medium

The most notable update for the new drawing tablets compared to the previous generation is the support for the massive jump in pen pressure sensitivity, up to 4,096-levels, compared to 1,024-levels of the previous generation; and also the having models with built-in Bluetooth wireless modules out of the box, eliminating the need to buy a separate wireless kit as opposed to the previous model.

Just like with the previous version, There are a couple of downloadable software bundled with each purchase of the new tablet:

  • CLIP STUDIO PAINT PRO designed for comic book and manga creation.
  • Corel® Aftershot™ 3 designed for RAW photo processing and retouching.
  • Corel® Painter® Essentials™ 6 designed for digital drawing and painting.

The tablet now sports a newly revamped design that is as thin as 8.8mm, as slim as smartphones. It still has 4 ExpressKeys at the top but now features a built-in pen tray.

The tablet uses Wacom's patented EMR (Electro-Magnetic Resonance) Technology designed to deliver a super accurate pen drawing experience. The battery-free pen also handily stores extra pen nibs inside.

The tablet comes in Black, Pistachio Green, or Berry Pink (available only in certain regions) and works with both Mac and PC.
